A Snapshot of Your Day

You start your day fully energized to get things done as a member of an international team. As the Head of Digital Finance Transformation at the Transformation of Industry Business Area, you will lead the strategic modernization of our finance organization and drive its end-to-end digital transformation. You will define and execute a future-focused vision, driving digital innovation, process optimization, and technology enablement across all finance teams and business units while orchestrating cross-functional collaboration. This role is at the forefront of shaping a future-ready finance organization that leverages digital capabilities to deliver insight, efficiency, and value at scale.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Strategy & Roadmap
· Define and communicate a joint vision and strategy for the “Finance of the Future” across all Transformation of Industry functions and businesses including data strategy and management for finance and intersectional data domains.
· Develop and drive the implementation roadmap to achieve transformation goals, balancing business focus and standardization.
· Serve as the governance owner for finance data domains, application landscape, and resource/project budget processes.
Digital Leadership & Innovation
· Lead data management and digital transformation initiatives, leveraging AI and advanced technologies to revolutionize financial steering, reporting, analysis, and operations.
· Oversee the selection, integration, and optimization of financial systems, data structure and completeness and digital tools to enhance transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.
Governance & Portfolio Management
· Establish and manage a robust governance framework for financial data
· Develop and apply a governance framework to prioritize and execute transformation projects, ensuring visibility, alignment, and seamless integration.
· Own the finance transformation project portfolio, providing oversight and accountability for deadlines, deliverables, and risk management.
Communication & Advocacy
· Develop and deliver digital communication plans for the Head of Finance of Transformation of Industry (CFO) and Finance Leadership Team (TI FLT).
· Act as a community anchor and ambassador within Siemens Energy Finance Data and Digitalization network, engaging internal and external communities and advocating for digital finance excellence.
Value Center & Knowledge Hub
· Drive and manage central transformation projects, providing resources, knowledge, and budget support for decentralized initiatives.
· Serve as a knowledge hub, fostering best practices and continuous improvement across the finance organization.
Resource & Competency Management
· Define and manage competency profiles for finance transformation roles.
· Broker resource and capacity exchange within and beyond the finance function, attracting top talent and building development paths.
· Partner with HR to design and implement digital finance talent development, including rotational and leadership initiatives.
 
Change Management
· Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
· Build frameworks for ongoing evaluation, iterative improvement, and feedback loops, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Performance & Compliance
· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact and success of transformation initiatives.
· Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, managing associated risks effectively.
Global Coordination
· Align and coordinate transformation efforts across regions and business units, leveraging synergies and ensuring consistency

What You Bring 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Data Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on finance transformation, digital finance, or process improvement in a multinational environment.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with a proven track record in leading large-scale transformation projects.
  • Deep knowledge of finance operations, systems, and digital technologies.
  • Expertise in project and portfolio management, lean management, and process optimization.
  • Advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, and innovation skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across global, multi-disciplinary teams

About the Team

Our Transformation of Industry division is decarbonizing the industrial sector. Increasing electrification and efficiency are key and demand for green H2 and derivative fuels will rise. We enable decarbonization of the industrial sector and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities. Candidates want to learn about the divisions they will be joining–the structure, how it works together, and the role it plays in driving Siemens Energy’s mission forward.

Transformation of Industry is a 6 billion Euro per year Operating Unit of Siemens Energy with almost 15,000 employees worldwide and a team of around 800 finance professionals. Transformation of Industry shapes the decarbonization of industrial processes along the energy transition. The starting point is to lead the development of process solutions for future technologies such as H2, power-to-x, and hybrid while continuing to evolve solutions to reduce the emissions from existing processes and fuel sources.
