A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Global Head (f/m/d) you act as a digital business partner for business units, you will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with business unit heads and partners to understand their needs and translate them into effective digital solutions. Your expertise in AI and Field Service Management will be essential in building innovative AI-based solutions that improve service delivery and operational excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead a team of custom developers to fulfil the growing needs of Business Unit and drive digitalization.
- Develop and implement strategies for growing the IT team to support digitalization needs of the business unit through digital tools and automation initiatives.
- Assessing the current landscape in business unit and integrating them into the formal IT structure.
- Act as a digital business partner, collaborating with business unit heads and partners to understand their needs and provide effective digital solutions.
- Drive digital transformation and operational efficiency by bringing to bear visualizations, ETL processes, and low-code management tools.
- Design and develop AI-based solutions that enhance service delivery and operational excellence.
- Ensure the successful deployment and adoption of digital tools across the organization.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of digital tools and automation initiatives, adjusting as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on software engineering and digital tools / automation for custom development. 3+ years of experience in leading a team of developers.
- Ability to convert business requirements into a workable digitalization initiative.
- Proven experience in driving digital transformation initiatives and operational efficiency.
- Expertise in visualizations, ETL processes, and low-code management tools.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to grow and develop an IT team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business unit heads and stakeholders.
- Hands-on knowledge of AI and its application in enhancing service delivery and operational excellence.
- Ability to manage transitions and platform migrations.
About the Team
We take care of all Digital/OT matters of the product business from Grid Technology with employees in more than 35 plants worldwide. Your team is responsible for Digital/OT environment in our Transformers / Switchgear factories, which produce transformers and Industrial Switchgears for the whole world. You and your team will work closely with colleagues from the factory and Digital colleagues worldwide and will always form new teams to create efficient solutions.
