As a Gas Turbine Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will provide timely engineering support for technical queries and prepare crucial documentation to improve the performance and reliability of large gas turbines in Egypt and the Middle East. Your role will involve encouraging a customer-first approach while promoting a zero-harm culture, ensuring safety and effective communication in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Within the Gas Services Business (GS), they provide timely engineering support for technical queries from both internal and external customers (including project managers, sales, and field service). This position will focus on support of Siemens Energy Large gas turbines mainly in Egypt and other countries in region Middle East.
• Prepare technical documents to define the required maintenance scope for the large Gas Turbine and the required actions to solve the previously reported issues.
• Identify suitable service bulletins, modifications and recommendations for clients to improve their performance, availability, reliability and safety.
• Present and discuss technical solutions during internal and external meetings.
• Provide EN support directly on site at Power Plants as and when required. Provide recommendations and advice to support the Field Service organization and ensure smooth outage execution.
• Active participation required during post outage reviews to identify possible Modification & Upgrade opportunities and to identify key lessons learnt for the future.
• Act as a key point of Contact / focal point for technical issues within the Country / Region. This could relate to outage interval extension, operational issues, commissioning, combustion tuning, performance tests, balancing, risk assessments and root cause analysis.
• Interact and reach out for support from a worldwide network of specialists and experts within Siemens Energy covering the Gas Turbines.

What You Bring

• Bachelor, Master or comparable engineering degrees on Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines
• 1 to 5 years of experience on SE Gas Turbines (commissioning, fact findings, operation).
• Recent Engineering graduate is encouraged to apply
• Basic knowledge on Gas Turbine technology especially on SGT 5 8000 H /SGT 5 4000 F
• Basic knowledge on manufacturing and repair technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
• Collaboration and networking skills are crucial to performing this role.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.  Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
