As a Gas Technician at Siemens Energy, you will play a vital role in supporting high voltage installation, commissioning, maintenance, and operational activities related to insulating gas across various projects in the UK. You will work within a dynamic team focused on safety, efficiency, and compliance, ensuring that all tasks are executed to the highest standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Carry out gas handling, leak detection, gas filling, and quality analysis on high voltage substations and associated assets.
• Operate approved gas management equipment and support installation and commissioning teams with gas-related tasks.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting in line with engineering guidance.
• Maintain compliance with internal work permit schemes and safety rules.
• Complete and maintain operational documentation and ensure adherence to Siemens Energy standards.
• Support team members and contribute to continuous improvement in work practices.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in gas-related work within industrial, mechanical, or electrical contexts.
• Competence in gas handling procedures and work on pressurised systems.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to interpret risk assessments.
• Valid authorisations or ability to obtain authorisation for Siemens Energy’s Gas Zone Permit scheme.
• Experience in high voltage substations or large-scale energy infrastructure is desirable.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
