Position Title: Finance Director

A Snapshot of Your Day

As the Finance Director for Siemens Energy in Algeria, you will play a pivotal role in managing finance matters across various business areas and the country. You will coordinate with external organizations and the finance community, establishing a solid foundation for all businesses operating in Algeria.

How You’ll Make an Impact  

• Lead the finance function for an international organization, ideally within a regional legal entity in a project, sales, and service environment.
• Serve as a dependable team member to the Country's Management Team, offering financial expertise and support across divisions.
• Collaborate with corporate functions, specifically Finance (Hub & GBS structures), Tax, Real Estate, etc.
• Gain international experience either outside of your home country or within a global organization.
• Participate in developing and implementing the Africa Hub Finance strategy, policies, tools, and methods.
• Known for integrity and the ability to challenge the status quo using a collaborative and networked approach.
• Proactive Leadership: Be proactive, dynamic, decisive, committed, and a great teammate with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Proven track record of building high-performance teams, identifying, developing, and promoting diverse talents.
• Drive regional efficiency and cost reduction by working with Divisions, Business Units, and/or Functions. Streamline Corporate Functions and overall infrastructure for assigned entities. Aim to establish Algeria as a best cost country.
• Coordinate, manage, and address country finance matters, including legal topics, compliance to financial rules, financial legal entity governance, financial risk management, inflation, foreign exchange and liquidity, local function and financial topics, as well as other critical issues.
• Serve as the “Voice of the Country” within the global organization and drive innovation and end-to-end improvements across the regional company/

What You Bring 

• Act as a trusted partner to the Managing Director of Algeria and the country’s Management Team, focusing on cross-divisional and country-related finance matters. Lead the finance community, providing a robust accounting and controlling framework for all businesses.
• Collaborate with the Vice President to represent Siemens Energy to external collaborators, including auditors, shareholders, customers, suppliers, and business partners.
• Possess strong knowledge in Financial Controlling and Management Accounting (IFRS) and reporting systems/environment. Proficiency in ERP and finance systems, preferably SAP/Spiridon.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in both English and French is required
• BA/BS/Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business or Accounting/Finance.
