A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our Field Services Team as an experienced Controls / Commissioning Engineer and step into a role where your expertise keeps critical rotating equipment running safely and reliably. You engage directly on UK and global projects, supporting Long Term Service Agreements, Installation & Commissioning, Engineered Solutions, and ad-hoc service work. From commissioning centrifugal compressors and gas turbines to diagnosing complex control and performance issues, you help minimize downtime where it matters most. Every assignment challenges you to apply deep technical judgment while delivering calm, professional service in demanding field environments.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Partner directly with customers as the Field Service interface, delivering clear communication and trusted technical support on-site
  • Commission and troubleshoot centrifugal compressors, gas turbines, Datum’s and GT packages, resolving complex control and performance issues
  • Verify OEM installation requirements, including baseplate leveling, alignment, and system readings during installation and start-up
  • Use diagnostic tools and software such as Bentley Nevada and ADRE to perform vibration analysis, fault finding, and root cause analysis
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, check sheets, and progress updates, aligning with project managers, customers, and field service colleagues

What You Bring

  • A degree in an engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Instrumentation & Controls, or Integrated Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
  • At least 5 years of industry experience, ideally with commissioning of rotating equipment, with strong exposure to centrifugal compressors and gas turbines
  • Hands-on knowledge of major control systems and software, including Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, Woodward, Bentley Nevada, ADRE, Gem80, and Detronics Fire & Gas
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation, vibration analysis, seal gas systems, P&IDs, control schematics, and machine performance criteria
  • Willingness to travel internationally for up to 60 days, mobilize at short notice, work weekends, and operate offshore on oil platforms and vessels
