Your day begins with reviewing the outage plan, safety protocols, and previous shift notes. You brief your team, verify tooling and permits, and lead the disassembly or inspection of generator components. Throughout the day, you may perform crawl-through inspections, operate robotic inspection tools, or assist with electrical testing. You coordinate with site teams, manage logistics, and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise. Documentation is a key part of your role—ensuring all reports, datasheets, and checklists are accurate and submitted on time. You wrap up the day with a shift handover and prepare for the next phase of the outage, always focused on safety, quality, and team development.

Your Profile:

  • Holds a technical qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in rotating equipment or generators; experience with large electrical generators is preferred.
  • Skilled in mechanical maintenance of power generation equipment; able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and international standards.
  • Familiar with forklift, bridge crane, scaffolding inspection, lifting and rigging; physically fit to work in challenging environments like power plants and construction sites.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken) for technical documentation, reporting, and communication with global teams.
  • Willing to travel frequently, work shifts/overtime, and operate independently with a valid driver’s license; must reside in South Korea and be legally permitted to work.
  • Strong intercultural awareness, customer service orientation, and ability to collaborate with international teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise scheduled and unscheduled generator maintenance outages, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution.
  • Lead disassembly and inspection of generator components, including crawl-through inspections and robotic stator/rotor assessments using Fast Gen equipment (training provided).
  • Learn and perform electrical testing to verify generator readiness; troubleshoot generator and auxiliary systems as needed.
  • Coordinate tools, materials, logistics, and subcontractors; ensure all special tools are available and fit for use.
  • Document and review quality checklists, datasheets, shift reports, and field documentation; ensure accurate shift handovers.
  • Mentor technicians and subcontractors, support outage planning and post-outage reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
