A Snapshot of Your Day

The Protection & Control Engineer oversees relay protection and control engineering tasks, including the detailed design of transmission FACTS projects. This role provides an opportunity to directly apply the candidate’s expertise in protective relaying and control systems within transmission projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develop FACTS Protection & Control Conceptual Document (i.e. P&C single line diagram, Interlocking logic, Trip loc)
• Develop AC/DC Schematic Diagrams and Interconnection Diagram for Protection and Control.
• Develop Bill of Material and Panel Layout for FACTS Protection and Control Panel
• Develop Wiring diagrams for Protection and Control Panels
• Develop Control Cable List.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Test for Protection and Control Panels.

What You Bring

• University Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Four or more years’ experience with a focus on protection & control/communications design for transmission & high voltage substations.
• Knowledge on ANSI standards, IEC standards knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment typically used in substation. protection, including SEL, Siemens, GE.
• Familiar with Auto-CAD, Auto-CAD Electrical or Micro-Station.
• Proficient in English Language, strong communication skills, teamwork and dedicated.
