A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of the operations team, your role focuses on developing tailored electromechanical designs for low-voltage electrical and automation systems, ensuring alignment with international standards and project requirements. You’ll collaborate with engineering and offer teams to estimate product costs, validate material valuations in SAP, and support cost control across production lines. Additionally, you’ll help integrate safety and sustainability into daily operations by identifying risks, supporting incident investigations, and applying Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement. Your contributions will directly support Siemens Energy’s commitment to operational excellence and its “Zero Harm” vision.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Execute customized designs for electrical (low voltage) and automation systems solutions under minimal supervision using local and global design standards, industry standards and engineering best practices.
• Provide engineering support for Sales, Project Management, Manufacturing, Field Service and Quality Assurance groups from sales through execution, commissioning, and service.
• Develop new electrical and mechanical designs and standardize them for use across our engineering team, where appropriate.
• Technically approve internal and external subcontractor products related to developed designs and solutions to ensure industry and customer requirements are satisfied.
• Based out of our Queretaro office with required domestic and international travel to other Siemens Energy and customer facilities.
• Responsibility to comply and / or enforce the protocols, policies, and guidelines of the current integral management system (EHS, Quality).
What You Bring
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; majors in Electrical, Automation & Control, or Mechatronics are preferred.
• Technical Experience: 2+ years in electrical design, drafting, or technical engineering, with proven experience in designing low-voltage power distribution equipment.
• Engineering Knowledge: Proficient in mechanical and electrical calculations such as cable sizing, cabinet modeling, and center of gravity analysis; skilled in specifying electrical components and interpreting electrical diagrams and customer specifications.
• Regulatory Standards: Solid understanding of industrial electrical codes including NEC, IEC, NEMA, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL.
• Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in design tools such as EPLAN, AutoCAD 2D/3D, and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Core Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

The selected person will work jointly with the engineering and design group, commercial and sales teams and other support areas of the Company for support customers in their decarbonization journey and the transition to sustainable processes, building on a strong industrial customer base, a global network, diverse technologies, and integrated execution capabilities.
