A Snapshot of Your Day
As an EHS Officer you will be at the forefront of driving safety and sustainability initiatives, targeting candidates with a strong technical background and leadership skills. You will work on meaningful projects, such as implementing EHS standards and procedures, conducting site inspections, and leading health management programs, directly impacting workplace safety and environmental excellence.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Define, implement, and maintain EHS standards to ensure a safe and incident-free workplace across Siemens Energy Middle East.
- Coordinate with various functions, including Project Management and Service Operations, to align EHS processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify risks, implement corrective measures, and ensure compliance with EHS standards.
- Lead campaigns and programs to enhance EHS engagement and awareness within the region.
- Collaborate with the Procurement Team to assess and monitor supplier EHS performance and requirements.
- Educate external stakeholders, such as customers and contractors, on EHS aspects to foster a culture of safety and sustainability.
What You Bring
- A technical background with an Engineering Degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, environment, or petroleum, complemented by NEBOSH IGC Level 3 certification.
- Auditor training in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with a preference for Certified Safety Professional certification.
- Extensive experience, with a minimum of 8 to 15 years in EHS functions, focusing on defining and implementing EHS processes for projects or facilities in power plants or the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience in power plants, oil & gas industry, or service-related industry for rotating equipment, with at least 5 years in EHS roles.
- Ability to work effectively with multicultural teams, showcasing exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Loop, and Planner, enabling seamless teamwork and project management
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
