A Snapshot of Your Day
As an EHS Lead at Siemens Energy, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring safety and compliance across our power plant operations. Targeting experienced professionals with a background in occupational health and safety, you’ll lead meaningful projects that drive continual improvement in EHS standards, impacting our team, clients, and partners positively.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Report directly to the EHS Manager, providing insights and updates on safety compliance and improvements.
- Implement Siemens O&M EHS program across all premises, ensuring full compliance and driving continual improvement.
- Lead and mentor EHS specialists and technicians, fostering a culture of safety and excellence within the power plant.
- Promptly address and eliminate non-conformances, ensuring adherence to established procedures and methods.
- Conduct risk reviews, compliance audits, and internal assessments, ensuring alignment with IFC guidelines and lender requirements.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs, supporting hazard assessments and accident investigations to prevent future incidents.
What You Bring
- 5 to 8 years of experience in occupational health and safety, with at least 2 years in a lead position, preferably in the electric power generation sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, with a strong foundation in health and safety management systems.
- Technical expertise in emergency management, risk management, HSE auditing, and accident investigation, with certifications in ISO45001, ISO14001, and NEBOSH IGC.
- Fluency in English is mandatory, with proficiency in Arabic being advantageous.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in using dashboards, incident reporting platforms, and Office packages, with a focus on presentation and conflict resolution skills.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
