A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will join the Communications, Information Security and SCADA (CIS) team, to support the development of our UK Information Security Management System (ISMS). You will help address the challenge of coordinating all Siemens Energy business functions with relation to compliance to ISO27001. This will include mapping out compliance against standard clauses, developing new processes and procedures to address gaps, and support with the training of our staff in the use of new tools and standards.

You will work with the Head of CIS and will be required to provide engineering work packages in line with project and business objectives.


How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Using Office 365 suite of products, you will build processes, procedures and documentation templates utilising our suite of existing business templates and upload these to our Business Management System and ISMS.
  • Working within a business specific Wiki environment, you will link UK specific information into the global Wiki environment, and create guides on how to work within the space.
  • Collaborating closely with the lead ISMS coordinator, you will support both internal and external audit of our systems to ensure readiness against the global standard.
  • You will participate in meetings with various business functions including real estate, HR, legal and commercial, to ensure that their tools and systems are in alignment with the new standard, and you'll assist with the production of necessary guidance to bring the team into compliance.


What You Bring

  • You hold an IT, computer science or cybersecurity related bachelor's degree (or higher)
  • Proficient in Office applications including SharePoint, Word and Excel
  • Fluent in English to a working standard
  • Able to commit to a 6 months full time placement based in Manchester
