Snapshot of Your Day
As a Cybersecurity Governance Officer for Industrial Cybersecurity (ICS), you will be responsible for overseeing and further development of the cybersecurity governance framework. Your primary objective is to ensure the organization's ICS environment complies with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices. This role requires a strategic mindset to identify and foresee cyber risks, enhance policy frameworks, and drive a culture of security across all operational and product related technology areas.
You will enhance the cybersecurity policy framework, referencing IEC / ISO standards, to ensure robust compliance. Key responsibilities include developing and executing procedures to verify adherence to regulatory requirements, defining methods for testing control effectiveness, and analyzing non-compliance patterns to initiate corrective actions.
You will support processes related to asset management, policy exceptions, and risk assessments, ensuring a consistent and structured approach to cybersecurity. This includes developing and maintaining management dashboards, building a strong network of internal and external cybersecurity contacts, and serving as a subject matter expert on ICS governance. By translating complex security requirements into actionable policies and procedures, you will play a vital role in protecting critical infrastructure and enabling secure business operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Enhance and maintain the cybersecurity policy framework for ICS environments based on IEC / ISO standards and other applicable standards
- Develop and refine procedures to verify compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies.
- Define and implement testing procedures to monitor the design and effectiveness of cybersecurity governance controls in ICS environments.
- Analyze patterns of non-compliance to identify root causes and initiate strategic improvement actions for the policy framework.
- Support governance processes and procedures for assets, policy exceptions, and other key control items.
- Organize and facilitate the operation of cybersecurity governance bodies and boards to ensure proper oversight.
- Build and maintain a professional network of contacts with internal business units and external cybersecurity partners.
- Develop, manage, and support reporting capabilities, including performance dashboards, for management and business areas.
- Serve as a point of contact for cybersecurity governance inquiries, providing support to stakeholders
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related (technical) field, combined with several years of experience in a cybersecurity governance, risk, or compliance role.
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity governance, particularly within an Industrial Cybersecurity (ICS) environment.
- Strong knowledge of standards frameworks and compliance requirements as well as implementation practices
- A plus would be certifications like, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP),Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) and / or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Written and verbal communication in English
- Ability to analyze complex situations, adapt effectively to changing circumstances, and monitor alignment with established frameworks, regulations, rules, and policies
- Analytical mindset supported by a high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential matters professionally and mature, extended by a large degree of initiative, dependability, and work without bigger supervision
