How to contribute to our vision
This request is for the replacement of a Controls & Digitalization Sales Representative within the Gas Services division for Latin America, based in Mexico. As a Sales Professional, this position is crucial for maintaining sales momentum and customer relationships for our advanced controls and digital solutions. To support this objective, the role is structured around three core areas: strategic business development to identify and cultivate new opportunities, technical solution selling to address complex client needs with tailored proposals, and diligent sales operations to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting. Given the focus on complex technical sales, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in field sales within the energy or industrial automation sector, a strong understanding of control systems and digitalization products, and proven expertise in managing large, complex sales cycles from prospecting to closure.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 40% Strategic Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the assigned territory in Mexico to achieve sales targets for Controls & Digitalization solutions in the Gas Services sector.
- Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and building relationships with key decision-makers at new and existing customer accounts.
- Manage and nurture long-term customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their evolving business needs and strategic objectives.
- Represent Siemens Energy at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings to promote the Controls & Digitalization portfolio.
- 40% Technical Solutioning & Proposal Management
- Assess complex customer requirements and collaborate with technical teams to design and propose appropriate Controls & Digitalization solutions and services.
- Lead the development and delivery of compelling sales proposals, bids, and presentations for large-scale projects.
- Conduct effective product demonstrations and technical workshops to showcase the value and capabilities of the solutions.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and conditions with customers to secure profitable orders, managing complex sales cycles with limited oversight.
- 20% Sales Operations & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales activity, opportunity pipeline, and customer information in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
- Develop and provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to sales management.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial), Business Administration, or a related field.
- No more than 8 years of experience in technical field sales or business development, preferably within the energy, power generation, or industrial automation industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing long and complex sales cycles for high-value technical solutions.
- Fluency in both Spanish and English is required for effective communication in the Latin American market.
