A Snapshot of Your Day

As Commercial Sales Manager in Grid Technology Substation (Türkiye and Central Asia), you will be responsible for handling all commercial and financial topics throughout the whole sales/ bid process and be responsible for the preparation and negotiation of the commercial and financial terms and conditions. You will also lead negotiations with the support of the legal team. Further you will interact with a very diverse and international team within the region and the Headquarter.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyze customer requirements, evaluation methods and criteria to develop the winning strategy together with the Sales Manager Understanding business conditions as well as competition pricing.
  • Define business models based on business, customer and tax regulations.
  • Handle all commercial aspects of the bid such as contract analysis, cost calculation, financing concepts, currency, hedging, risks and opportunities, bonds, terms of payment, credit rating, insurance, export control, compliance etc.
  • Relationship management with external project collaborators such as customers or consortium partners.
  • Prepare and present the Limits of Authority (LoA) according to the protocol required and acting as sparring partner for regions and bid team members.
  • Participate in negotiation of T&Cs with the applicable guidelines, lead commercial negotiations in coordination with the relevant departments (e.g. Legal, SFS, insurance, Taxes, etc.).
  • Ensuring the correctness of the relevant approvals in accordance with the actual negotiations and providing lessons learned to financially and contractually comparable projects.
  • Hands-on attitude is required to manage well the full scope of financial and commercial activities during the sales phase.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Management, Finance, Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience (typically 8+ years) in contract management, bid management, or a senior commercial role, preferably within the energy, power generation, or grid technology industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise as a recognized master in structuring and negotiating complex, high-value commercial contracts.
  • Analytical thinking, result and quality-oriented approach, solid professional judgment and problem-solving ability are required competencies.
  • Excellent communications skills in Turkish and English; able to clearly and concisely express information to associates, peers and senior management through writing, speaking and presentations.
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.
  • Strong commercial and contractual focus, encompassing effective negotiation, development of sound pricing strategies, management of subcontracting arrangements, and a consistent commitment to ethical standards and professional conduct.
