A Snapshot of Your Day
Responsible for monitoring the chemical condition of the plant, the environmental aspects of the plant operation, the operation of the Water Treatment, Waste Water facilities and Emission Measurement System. Performing and/or monitoring of Fuel Gas and Fuel Oil analysis.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Acquire expertise in the chemistry of combined cycle power plants to ensure optimal equipment preservation.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the water-steam cycle alongside the analysis and laboratory functions of water treatment plants.
- Attain proficiency in the chemical control and monitoring of steam/water cycles, make-up water plants, cooling water systems, auxiliary water systems, and waste treatment plants.
- Employ the computerized Plant Management System (SPPA-M3000) for fault notification and parts requisition.
- Gain a solid understanding of chemical hazards and associated mitigation strategies.
- Effectively operate the water treatment plant, focusing on demineralized water production, hypochlorination, seawater treatment, and sewage treatment.
- Acquire extensive knowledge of mechanical equipment.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in power plant chemistry or industrial water treatment
- Solid understanding of chemical analysis techniques and laboratory instrumentation
- Ability to make proficient decisions in emergency situations
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in digital literacy, including Office packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
