關於職位
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a CMM Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring the quality and precision of components used within Siemens Energy's gas turbine products. Working in a modern manufacturing environment, you'll operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to inspect complex, high-value components, helping to ensure they meet exact engineering specifications before progressing through production.
Working closely with Quality and Engineering teams, you'll load and inspect components, review measurement data, and identify any potential issues before passing results to CMM Engineers for further analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail who enjoys working in a high-precision manufacturing environment where quality is paramount.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) by loading components, running established inspection programmes, and carrying out accurate dimensional measurements in line with approved procedures.
- Perform visual and manual inspections of components, identifying potential damage or quality concerns before escalating findings to the appropriate teams.
- Review measurement data to ensure inspections are complete and accurate before passing results to CMM Engineers for evaluation and disposition.
- Support the safe handling and movement of components using lifting equipment while preparing and cleaning parts ready for inspection.
- Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to support continuous improvement of inspection methods and measurement processes.
- Maintain a safe, organised working environment by following health and safety legislation, quality standards, and company procedures at all times.
What You Bring
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally in a low-volume, high-precision industry such as aerospace, gas turbines, or power generation.
- Experience operating CMM equipment or an understanding of dimensional measurement techniques would be advantageous, although full training can be provided.
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical approach and the ability to identify quality issues accurately.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to review and manage inspection data.
- A proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern and handling components safely using lifting equipment.
