Join Siemens Energy as an Acoustic System Engineer and immerse yourself in a role where innovation and precision shape the future of industrial gas turbines. Picture yourself designing advanced acoustic systems that include air intake systems, turbine enclosures, ventilation systems, and exhaust systems, all while ensuring compliance with China codes and global standards. Your day involves optimizing system designs for performance, creating detailed engineering drawings, and collaborating with suppliers and teams to meet project needs. Whether you're troubleshooting challenges or driving product development, your expertise will play a vital role in delivering world-class solutions that support sustainable energy advancements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
• Design and Optimize: Develop acoustic systems tailored to the China market, ensuring compliance with local codes while leveraging Siemens Energy’s global reference designs.
• Collaborate: Partner with suppliers and teams to introduce new components, simplify scopes, and continuously improve product quality and efficiency.
• Execute Projects: Configure acoustic systems to meet project needs, prepare purchase specifications, and produce detailed engineering drawings such as P&IDs, part lists, and system descriptions.
• Ensure Quality: Attend functional acceptance tests at vendor factories, inspect equipment, and provide design inputs to customers and internal teams.
• Support Installation: Collaborate with commissioning teams, both on-site and remotely, to ensure seamless system integration and operation.
What You Bring
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, ideally with a focus on power generation.
• At least 3 years of experience in power plant mechanical engineering, including system design, analysis, and adherence to industry codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer focus skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese, with excellent communication skills to interface with diverse teams and organizations.
• Preferred experience in gas turbine air intake, enclosure, and ventilation systems, or roles in EPCs, design institutes, or gas turbine OEMs.
