How to contribute to our vision
This Entry Professional role for an AC Hardware and Cabling Engineer is an addition to the Control & Protection engineering team, created to support a new strategic project within the LCC refurbishment portfolio. The position is based in India and is critical for expanding the team's capacity to handle new project requirements. To meet the project's objectives, this role focuses on three core areas: AC Hardware & Auxiliary Systems Engineering, Cabling Design, AC protection and Filed interfaces specifications and drawings prepration and overall Project Support. This structure ensures the individual contributes to the fundamental design and documentation of electrical systems while learning and adhering to established quality and project standards under supervision. Given the focus on foundational engineering tasks, the ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Key requirements include a theoretical understanding of electrical systems, Experience with E_Base tool for design, and strong analytical abilities to support a closely supervised project environment. Knowledge of AC Control and Protection devices from Siemens and other makes is an advantage. Tool knowledge of DIGSI and CAD would be a preference.
What You Need To Make a Difference
- 50% AC Hardware & Auxiliary Systems Engineering
- Assist in the design and development of AC hardware and auxiliary power systems for control and protection panels under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Create and revise technical drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams using CAD software.
- Support the selection and specification of hardware components like circuit breakers, transformers, and power supplies based on project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain essential engineering documentation, including bills of materials (BOMs) and technical specifications.
- 30% Cabling Design and Management
- Develop and document cabling layouts, connection lists, and termination diagrams for control and protection systems.
- Assist in performing cable sizing calculations and defining cable routes in compliance with technical standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the proper integration of cabling within the overall project design.
- Check with the Electrical Load Lists and other interfaces to Auxiliary systems, like ACDb, DCDB, battery and chargers/UPS
- 20% Project Support and Quality Assurance
- Participate in internal design reviews and provide technical input as guided by the project team.
- Create Technical Specifications and involve in customer discussion online and in person
- Support the resolution of basic technical queries from manufacturing and commissioning teams.
- Adhere to established quality control procedures to ensure all engineering deliverables meet project and company standards.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in electrical hardware or control systems design; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
