A Snapshot of Your Day
Picture yourself leading the design and coordination of innovative onshore substations that power communities and drive the energy transition. As a Technical Project Manager, you’ll coordinate the entire substation design process—from the initial maturing phase to project execution and warranty conclusion. You'll collaborate with diverse teams, comprising project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and international business units, to integrate subsystems like switchgear, cable systems, auxiliary systems, and civil works seamlessly. Your day will be filled with dynamic problem-solving, supplier management, and delivering high-quality technical solutions that meet contractual achievements.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure all technical deliverables are handled according to the design process and the employer´s contractual requirements including quality.
- Collaborate with the 3D team to develop overall substation layouts and single-line diagrams and coordinate civil design with our civil partners as well as our own design team.
- Manage the technical procurement of materials and supervise supplier onboarding and performance.
- Plan, monitor and control installation and commissioning of the substation.
- Conduct detailed quality assurance checks on supplier work and proactively address technical blocking issues.
What You Bring
- A degree in electrical engineering and 5+ years of experience in substation design and engineering.
- Expertise in subsystems like Air Insulated Switchgear, Gas Insulated Switchgear, HV/MV cable systems, auxiliary systems, and civil works.
- Thorough understanding of interfaces and design flow between the sub systems as well as capability to break down the design work in appropriate steps for planning purposes.
- Proven supplier leadership skills and excellent communication abilities for technical and non-technical partners.
- Basic knowledge of cyber security in projects is a plus.
