A Snapshot of Your Day
In your role as General Ledger, Closing and Reporting Team Lead, you will lead a team of domain experts, which includes managing accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any necessary corrections and leading process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the General Ledger, Closing and Reporting Function Lead.
You will supervise daily General Ledger, Closing and Reporting transactions and month-end-closing activities and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- G/L accounts for reconciliation. Support of reporting sales tax.
- Opening balance (Carry forward). Monitoring business-related provisions & accruals, deferred income. Inventory Valuation.
- Reporting IFRS in ESPRIT & Adstar for SC, BU & SF, Actual, FC & Comparability.
- Ensuring stability in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, actively providing support to General Ledger, Closing and Reporting team members as a relevant specialist and leader.
- You will be responsible for internal controls in General Ledger, Closing and Reporting accounting, also participating in internal and external audits by providing timely and qualitative information and resolving queries from the auditors (where applicable for the assigned countries/legal entities).
- You own the implementation and continuous update of DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing and creation of DTPs new processes/variances.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the field of General Ledger, Closing and Reporting Accounting & Finance Operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Team Leadership.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting and IFRS is mandatory.
- Very good MS-Office skills (especially in MS-Excel). Very good understanding of business processes in SAP.
- Experience in transitions and transformation projects.
- Willingness to travel for knowledge transfer, training/workshops, if needed.
Bilingual in both English and Spanish is required.
