In this role , your day will involve coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure timely procurement, delivery and compliance with Siemens Energy O&M requirements while managing import logistics and customs clearance, simultaneously you will oversee administrative tasks, inventory checks and provide satisfaction to stakeholders all while identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Procurement Buyer located 1 hour far from Alexandria, Egypt -Burullus Combined cycle power plant 33737, International Coastal Road (Alexandria residents preferred)The Procurement Buyer will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, generating purchase orders, using analytical skills, and effective communication for successful procurement activities.

 

 

How You'll Make an Impact

 

• Execute operational procurement activities for assigned materials and services.
• prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and evaluate supplier quotations based on total cost of ownership.
• Create, maintain, and monitor Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy and timely execution(ERP & SAP).
• Follow up with suppliers regarding order confirmations, production schedules, delivery status, and quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers within assigned commodity areas.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, including savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supplier Quality, Logistics, and other internal stakeholders to resolve procurement-related issues.
• build and maintain effective supplier relationships while monitoring supplier performance.
• Support suppliers claim management and clarification of contractual terms and conditions.
• Maintain accurate procurement master data, Purchase Orders, and Purchasing Information Records within SAP.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in direct purchasing, material requirements planning (MRP), or a related supply chain role.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, power generation, or other heavy industry environments is required.
• Proven experience managing operational procurement activities and supplier relationships.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, with strong proficiency in SAP being mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing activities, and supply chain management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and vendor relationship management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously.
