A Snapshot of Your Day

Over the past few years, our aero-derivative turbine business has successfully grown by focusing on the supply and support of aero-derivative gas turbine packages and equipment to the global oil & gas and power generation markets. As a Repair and Overhaul Engineer, you will be working in the SGTA65/A45 Engineering organisation based at our office in Warwick.

Reporting to the Head of MRO Engineering, you will be responsible for defining the gas turbine scope of work to be conducted at our Maintenance Repair & Overhaul Center (MROC) located in Montreal, Canada.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead repair and overhaul projects for gas turbines during the proposal stage, aiding MOD’s & Ups teams to develop customer proposals for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Develop comprehensive engine work scopes for planned and unplanned MROC shop visits, including repair, mid-life, and full overhaul projects.
  • Review specific contractual obligations identified by the Regional Project Manager for the customer, ensuring compliance and precision.
  • Analyse engine history, including previous borescope reports, to understand degradation rates and confirm necessary modifications for shop visits.
  • Conduct Life Limited Part reviews to confirm required part replacements in line with engine release life.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis of failures and develop effective corrective actions.

What You Bring

  • An engineering degree in mechanical engineering or proven experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical experience related to gas turbines or industrial equipment, with a strong grasp of project management and repair/manufacturing techniques.
  • Proven ability to read, speak, write, understand, and verbally express ideas and instructions effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills to engage with peers, subordinates, supervisors, and management personnel.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment with a proven record of delivering technical solutions and improvements.
  • High degree of autonomy and the ability to self-manage priorities to meet team objectives and customer expectations.

Our Gas Services division offers low-emission power generation through service and decarbonisation. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonisation opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
