關於職位
A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Quality Process Engineer, you will serve as the quality focal point for assigned manufacturing processes, production lines, and projects within our Switchgear factory in Querétaro. You will work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Logistics, Project Management, and Customer Experience teams to ensure quality is built into every stage of the process rather than relying solely on final inspection.
Your day will combine Gemba walks, process verification, problem-solving activities, root cause investigations, quality data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You will proactively identify risks, contain non-conformities, drive corrective actions, and strengthen a culture of quality, traceability, and continuous improvement while ensuring customer requirements and internal quality standards are consistently met.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Act as the primary Quality representative for assigned processes and projects, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, engineering specifications, inspection plans, and internal quality standards.
- Lead containment activities, non-conformance management, root cause investigations, and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
- Monitor and improve key quality performance indicators including FPY, COPQ, scrap, rework, defect rates, escapes, and recurring issues, converting data into actionable improvement plans.
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, process modifications, and manufacturing transfers through risk assessments, FMEA reviews, control plans, validations, and quality readiness activities.
- Conduct process, product, and system audits while driving quality-at-the-source initiatives through training, visual controls, poka-yokes, and operational discipline.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Process Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Assurance within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality and continuous improvement tools including 8D, A3, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, CAPA, FAI, and audits.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, inspection records, acceptance criteria, and engineering change documentation.
- Intermediate to advanced English communication skills, strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management abilities, and proficiency with Excel; SAP and Power BI experience are considered an advantage.
About the Team
You will join the EQS (Environment, Quality & Safety) organization and report to the Quality Manager within the Switchgear manufacturing facility. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role focused on driving process control, reducing quality escapes, and ensuring sustainable solutions across the value stream.
As part of the team, you will:
- Work alongside Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Warehousing, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Logistics, Project Management, and Customer Experience teams.
- Contribute to Siemens Energy’s vision of Zero Defects and Zero Harm.
- Combine shop-floor engagement, technical expertise, data-driven decision-making, and structured follow-through.
- Participate in continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives that enhance traceability, operational excellence, and quality performance.
- Engage with a global network of quality professionals and exchange best practices with international manufacturing sites.
