A Snapshot of Your Day
Do you like to solve problems that help others and provide the best Service possible to our Large Gas Turbine, Large Steam Turbine and Large Generator customers? As an On-Site Technician (f/m/d) for Siemens Energy, you will travel to various processing sites as part of our team in the worldwide field service. Depending on the local conditions, you align the machines to the sophisticated geometries with hundredths of a millimeter precision, attach them and, if necessary, adapt them to the machine and the CNC programs. You will be in regular contact with several interfaces such as managers (f/m/d) and specialist departments (project management, engineering departments, machine development, etc.) in order to communicate work progress, disruptions, deviations, changes and improvements and to support smooth and successful processing.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Carrying out service calls to eliminate faults
- High-quality machining by turning, milling, grinding and drilling according to required standards such as drawings and test sequence plan as well as specified test and measurement methods
- Repairs or modifications to power generation components using mobile special machines as well as conventional and CNC-controlled machines
- Control and documentation of dimensional, positional, shape and surface tolerances
What You Bring
- Successfully completed training as a cutting machine operator (f/m/d) or comparable training with many years of professional experience in the field of turning, milling, grinding and drilling
- CNC user knowledge of the control system (Siemens 840D sl) and basic CNC programming knowledge (SINUMERIK Operate) desirable
- Initial experience in guiding and setting up medium-sized CNC lathes and milling machines
- Experience with turning operations on large components and milling of complex contours desirable
- Good knowledge of the English language as well as an open attitude in dealing with other cultures for worldwide assembly assignments
- Confident handling of digital applications such as Microsoft Office applications
- Willingness to travel, ability to work under pressure and ability to work in a team as well as a reliable and committed way of working
- Creative solution finding for challenging tasks
