A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Junior Primary Design Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will target early-career professionals with a solid foundation in electrical engineering and a passion for primary engineering activities. You will work on meaningful projects that involve the preparation and execution of layouts and designs for primary equipment, directly contributing to the efficiency and safety of energy systems for our clients and partners. Expect a collaborative team culture that emphasizes interdisciplinary coordination and innovation, all while supporting Siemens Energy’s mission to drive sustainable energy solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Prepare various layouts, including equipment, earthing, and cable routing layouts.
  • Review vendor drawings for GIS, transformers, capacitor banks, and HV cables.
  • Conduct earthing and lightning protection calculations.
  • Estimate BOQ for earthing, lightning, lighting, and small power items.
  • Implement BIM and perform clash analysis for project coordination.
  • Engage in pre-tender engineering, including BOQ estimation and technical submissions.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in primary engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, CYMGRD, and CDEGS software.
  • Strong understanding of layout engineering and multi-discipline interface engineering.
  • Knowledge of national and international engineering standards and codes.
  • Experience in earthing design and lightning protection calculations.
