As a GIS Installation Specialist, your day revolves around the installation and supervision of Siemens Energy GIS systems, ensuring the safe handling of SF6 gas and troubleshooting across multiple sites. You will lead your team in performing tests, interpreting construction drawings, and preparing detailed reports, all while adhering to EHS requirements to maintain a safe work environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Carry out installation of Siemens Energy Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS), particularly models 8DQ1-6, 8DN8-2/5/6, and 8DN9, with factory certification.
• Supervise assembly and installation processes, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Conduct SF6 gas handling, including purity and leakage tests, to maintain safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve major issues related to Siemens Energy GIS for optimal performance.
• Prepare installation method statements and inspection reports, contributing to knowledge sharing with the Know How Center (KHC).
• Maintain awareness of EHS requirements, promoting Zero Harm initiatives and safety protocols on construction sites.

• Degree or Diploma in an electrical discipline with 5+ years of experience in Siemens Energy GIS assembly and supervision.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to network, negotiate, and influence effectively.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Effective problem-solving skills, capable of performing under pressure in time-critical situations.
• Sensitivity to diverse cultural needs, demonstrating integrity and high personal standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office for effective documentation and reporting.
