A Snapshot of Your Day 

As an employee at the Innovation Center Berlin, you will actively participate in the development of new technologies required to further reduce global CO₂ emissions. You are part of a project team and take responsibility for the technical implementation of project goals, typically up to TRL6, which means until the new technology has proven its readiness for deployment.

To achieve this, you initiate and lead the necessary technical reviews and prepare the subsequent gate decisions. You work closely with the relevant internal departments that will adopt and roll out the new technology in the market after TRL6. If included in the project, you also collaborate with external organizations 
(e.g., universities, research centers) that independently or under your guidance work on specific aspects of the project. Since project funding may also include public grants, you are involved in the necessary application and implementation processes.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • Initiating new technology projects with internal and external resources
  • Developing new technologies to reduce global CO₂ emissions
  • Coordinating various ideas and interests to achieve a common goal
  • Leading technical project, supporting the overall project manager with subject-matter expertise, making independent decisions within field of technology, and working as an equal with internal and external specialists

What You Bring

  • A university degree in electrochemistry or equivalent qualifications
  • Several years of professional experience in the electrochemical industry or comparable academic activities in relevant research institutions
  • Focus of work in the field of PEM membrane technology and related applications
  • Experience in the area of degradation of PEM applications is advantageous
  • Experience in project management and practical leadership of R&D projects is beneficial
  • Fluency in English and German, as well as the ability to work in international teams, is required
  • Essential are a strong interest in the latest technologies, a willingness to continuously expand your technical knowledge, and the ability to inspire, guide, and lead others to success, based on competent decisions around the evolution of new technologies
