A Snapshot of Your Day

As Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in bringing electrotechnical systems and equipment to life on site — leading the commissioning of complex installations from testing through to full operational readiness. You will ensure that every system, piece of equipment, and facility meet design specifications and project requirements, setting the standard for safety, quality, and reliability. Functionally leading the on-site Commissioning Engineers, you will be at the heart of the project's success, driving collaboration and technical excellence at every stage of the commissioning journey.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Develop detailed commissioning plans and establish testing protocols, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure systematic validation of systems and equipment. 
• Lead and develop a team of commissioning engineers, technicians, and specialists, ensuring they are well-trained in commissioning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. 
• Partner with design and engineering teams to ensure systems are designed for commissioning readiness, addressing potential issues prior to installation. 
• Supervise testing of systems and equipment against performance specifications, working cross-functionally to identify and resolve issues as they arise. 
• Monitor work quality throughout the commissioning process, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. 
• Prepare final commissioning reports and coordinate with clients on acceptance testing and handover, capturing key learnings for future projects.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent; advanced degrees or certifications in Project Management or Commissioning are advantageous.
• Significant experience in commissioning, project management, or engineering roles, with a track record on large-scale projects such as HV substations.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and safety protocols relevant to the project scope.
• Proven ability to quickly identify issues and develop effective, practical solutions to keep the commissioning process on track.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to guide and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and specialists.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience liaising across design, engineering, and client teams.
