A Snapshot of Your Day

In this role, you’ll be part of our Converter team within the R&D Electrical Department, where you help define and develop the converter systems at the heart of our wind turbines. Your day varies between shaping conceptual designs, collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams, reviewing supplier documentation, and engaging in verification and validation activities. You’ll also support field operations by analyzing converter performance and contributing to technical investigations. It’s a position where your engineering expertise directly impacts turbine reliability and performance — and where you’ll continuously grow in a global, innovative environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Define conceptual designs and system‑level requirements while leading key specifications and documentation
  • Coordinate design activities across internal teams and external converter suppliers
  • Participate in QA audits at supplier facilities to ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards
  • Specify, support and review verification, validation and test activities
  • Drive design optimization with converter supplier to improve converter performance, quality and reliability
  • Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with suppliers

What You Bring

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a similar field, with 5+ years of hands‑on converter experience
  • Knowledge of wind turbines and low‑voltage power conversion systems
  • Ability to take ownership of requirements, specifications and technical documentation
  • Experience with testing activities and the ability to review and interpret test documentation
  • A structured, communicative and self‑driven approach with strong cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, and willingness to travel approximately 20 days per year

You will join our dedicated Converter team within the R&D Electrical Department in Brande. We collaborate closely with experts across electrical design, controls, mechanical engineering and our converter suppliers. Together, we ensure that our converter systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and durability. The team thrives on technical depth, shared problem‑solving and bringing innovative solutions into large‑scale wind turbine operation.
