A Snapshot of Your Day
Be the CFO of your assigned projects by handling all financial aspects of the project(s) through controlling and reporting of the project’s progress according to SE guidelines.
The CPM group is a very diversified team with varying levels of experience and background and you would be a valued team member working for Americas projects.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Control and report projects progress according to PM SE guidelines, including internal and external monthly project reviews, cost controlling and planning.
- Financial planning and reporting related to costs and charging regarding the dimensions Target, Actual, Forecast; identification and analysis of variances.
- Ensure identification and management of project portfolio’s risks and opportunities, along with lessons learned. Compliance to commercial standards, rules and regulations .
- Supporting Contract Management, Risk Management and Claim Management (representing commercial aspects with customers and suppliers). Compliance to commercial standards, rules and regulations.
- In addition to core CPM responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate should be willing to take over the governance role for a relevant commercial process or tool on a departmental level and participate actively in the creation and / or improvement of existing tools (e.g. Forecasting, costs sheets, VO templates, etc.).
- The successful candidate should be eager to drive digital initiatives in an almost greenfield environment, using tools like Alteryx, Power BI, Copilot/AI, Tableau, and Dash to build interactive dashboards and streamline data analysis that can be scaled globally.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent
- At least 5 years of related commercial & finance experience, with 2+ years managing A, B or C level projects in a Commercial Project Manager (CPM) capacity
- Advance knowledge in SAP (PS1 Atlas is a plus) and associated tools (Pdash, Tableau or similar); sophisticated Excel skills is a must (VBA skills is a plus)
- Project management skills, negotiation skills, strategic & analytic competence, be able to take pressure, skills to understand & interpret and present financial figures
- Coordinated: transparency in project forecast with high level of data accuracy
- Ability to anticipate issues and blocking points and to take mitigating actions in advance (crucial)
- Experience in commercial and claim management
- Proficiency in business analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau or similar) as well as experience and curiosity about leveraging Artificial Intelligence to address business needs
About the Team
As a member of the lean, agile and empowering department, you will have the opportunity to take part in and contribute to development of the CPM function for the Americas operations.
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of an EPC contract involving construction and building works in a multi-contractor environment. The Site Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Completion and comment on design reviews for all disciplines,
- Completion of all pre-construction planning documentation, providing inputs and expertise. Preparation and planning associated with Site Mobilization, including Site trailer set up.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, including managing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Work closely and coordinate Site based Siemens Energy team members, incl. but not limited to Document Manager, Project Engineer, Supervisors, Commissioning Personnel
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the project schedule in a safe manner, within budget, and quality requirements, Promote the Zero Harm policies in everyday life while on the project,
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with legal, regulatory, and company requirements,
What You Bring
- Experience 6 – 10 years working on EPC contracts involving construction and building works in a multi-contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques and principles, as well as safety and environmental regulations.
- Proficient in project/construction management software and tools.
- The drive and enthusiasm to proactively handle all issues, matters and challenges on the project site.
- OSHA 30 safety training.
- Willingness and availability to travel for long durations.
