A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Chemistry Technician, you will support the safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operation of the power plant by performing chemical analysis and monitoring plant chemistry parameters. You will work closely with operations and maintenance teams to support water treatment processes, environmental monitoring activities, laboratory operations, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with plant procedures and safety standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

· Perform routine water chemistry analysis and laboratory testing to support safe and efficient plant operations.

· Monitor plant chemistry parameters and environmental conditions, identifying deviations and supporting corrective actions when required.

· Support the operation and monitoring of water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with plant and environmental requirements.

· Maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, procedures, and industry best practices.

· Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for fault notifications, parts requisitions, and maintenance-related activities.

· Continuously develop technical expertise through training programs, certifications, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

What You Bring

· Technical College Degree in Chemistry, Laboratory Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent professional experience in a related field.

· Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial plant operations, laboratory environments, water treatment, or a similar technical setting.

· Strong knowledge of chemical handling procedures, laboratory equipment, and analytical testing techniques.

· Experience supporting water chemistry control, environmental monitoring, and treatment facility operations.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized maintenance or plant management systems.

· Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse and multicultural teams.
