A Snapshot of Your Day
Lead and coordinate the purchase and delivery of assigned mechanical commodities like Hardwares, fasteners, machined parts acc to drawing & its spare parts for project requirement in a manner that is consistent with Company policies and performance goals.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Contribute to secure achievement of defined Siemens Energy procurement targets and critical metrics per fiscal year.
- Complete and follow-up of Request for Quotations (RfQ) with suppliers. Ensure correctness of supplier/material master data required for ordering.
- Process purchase orders based on requirements from projects and valid frame agreements.
- Follow-up of purchase orders including order acknowledgements and monitor adherence to delivery dates.
- Drive supplier expediting to mitigate contractual risk.
- Report procurement status to related project collaborators, including regular update of project specific procurement plans.
What You Bring
- Experience in P2P process for machining & fabricated components, in Oil and Gas Industry, strategic support for assigned components.
- Global supplier dealing experience. Previous experience in SAP as a user.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent of experience industry or engineering environment. With 7+ years of experience within function or industry
- Ability to take ownership, think independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience of purchasing fundamentals including solicitation of bids, negotiation, and contract formation.
- Effectively able to participate in teams and collaboration cross-functionally.
- Ability to assess and prioritise for self and others, demonstrate flexibility and understand/communicate sense of urgency.
