Join our dynamic Design Team, where you will play a crucial role in handling all equipment used for the transportation, lifting, and assembly of complete offshore wind turbines. You will be responsible for the entire process, from when components leave the production site until they are successfully assembled and installed offshore. Imagine tackling the challenge of designing solutions for increasingly larger and heavier offshore wind turbines! Your expertise will be essential in developing innovative designs while considering cost-efficiency and quality. Build your knowledge of our equipment and foster a network among colleagues, as timely delivery and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders are key to our success.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Lead design work in NX, creating both 3D and 2D models.
• Drive the conceptual development of new equipment for upcoming platforms.
• Participate in projects and serve as the technical point of contact.
• Manage ECN work, overseeing the approval processes for your designs.
• Ensure quality approval of your colleagues’ designs, contributing to overall project success.

What You Bring

Your passion for renewable energy and commitment to leading change will drive your success in this role. We are looking for a strong and experienced CAD designer who is eager to develop and optimize our processes. You should have:

• Several years of experience with CAD software, preferably NX.
• Experience designing large steel structures, including integration of hydraulic and electrical systems (min. 5 years).
• A proactive, outgoing nature that drives you to take initiative.
• The ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
• A results-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Our Engineering department is a truly global team with hubs in Denmark, Poland, Spain, and India. Comprising over 100 engineers, specialists, and project managers, we focus on new product development and optimizing existing equipment. We strive to create the most optimal and cost-efficient designs, fostering a diverse and exciting work environment filled with various stakeholders and tasks. Our commitment to equipment uptime and design ensures that maintenance is limited and well-managed.
