A Snapshot of Your Day
You will provide technical and operational support related to equipment within a Siemens Energy (SE) Medium Gas Turbine (SGT-800) Package. This position involves direct engagement with End Customers (within Asia Pacific Region), Third Party Vendors, Field Service team, Marketing & Sales team, Product Competency Center (in Sweden) and Project Management (AP and Sweden) teams, in the resolution of equipment and/or operational problems.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Service Project / Contract Support
- Support service project team with customer related issues, being the main technical representative interfacing with customers, suppliers and project teams. Ensure all technical issues are properly defined, well-coordinated, driven, followed-up, completed and logged in Salesforce.com.
- Leads the technical part of selling and / or delivering service (defining the technical scope and activities, back-office during inspection and handling non-urgent customer issues). Ensures this is in accordance with the contract's documents, applicable processes, and regulations.
- Be updated on customers’ machines, including core-close peripherals, its data (EOC / EOH) and history, with follow-ups and reporting of any deviations (between contract and actual outcome) to the contract owner.
- Responsible for the contracts technical specifications and that Engine Life are followed and reports the project's technical results.
- Contributes to / Conducts quality improvement activities related to the core business.
Product/Technical Support
- Provide prompt technical response to resolve customers’ equipment-related operational technical issues, and to support customers in the safe operations of their equipment. Liaise with Product Competency Center (PCC) to seek further support if technical issue cannot be resolved regionally.
- Support Remote Diagnostic Center and on-site Siemens Energy field service engineers with troubleshooting, mechanical and commissioning guidance.
- Support other functions in the business unit, e.g. Sales, Logistics etc., in any technical issues related to the SGT-800 gas turbine that may arise, such as service product presentation, clarify Mods & Ups scope, and help with customs clearance when importing spare parts.
Business responsibility
- Support Mods & Ups team to identify new opportunities from technical recommendations provided to the customer.
- To ensure that work is carried out within the framework of the cost budget and given time schedule and that it is characterized by high quality; also, to ensure that feedback is given concerning any non-conformances to the markets and engineering departments concerned.
What You Bring
- Degree/ Diploma in Engineering related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience working with Rotating Equipment’s (Mechanical Support/Commissioning)
- Experience working on Siemens Energy Gas Turbines or other OEM Gas Turbines
- Good understanding of operation of gas turbine and driven compression equipment and their associated auxiliary systems; air filtration, acoustic packages, lube oils systems, fuel gas systems, seal gas system and other auxiliary systems.
- Full working rights in Thailand
