A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our team as a Service Technician at our wind farm in Lestijärvi, Finland, where you’ll dive into hands-on work across our latest SG5X wind power platform. You’ll tackle technical challenges, troubleshoot issues, and perform annual maintenance to keep our turbines running at peak performance. Imagine starting your journey with an immersive internship at Siemens Gamesa’s international training center, equipping you with the skills to excel. Every day, you’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues, solve problems on site, and make a real impact on renewable energy. How You’ll Make an Impact
- You perform technical tasks, including troubleshooting, annual maintenance, and inspections on our SG5X wind turbines.
- You carry out improvement measures and modifications, and participate in preparations as needed.
- You solve problems on site with your team, using your electrical and mechanical skills to ensure operational reliability and top service quality.
- You ensure all work is completed with safety as the highest priority, following the SFS-6002 electrical standard.
- You report and document your work thoroughly, and monitor assignments performed by subcontractors.
- You start your role with an internship at Siemens Gamesa’s training center abroad, building your expertise from day one.
- For those interested in specializing as troubleshooters, you will have the opportunity to advance into this role by completing all internal troubleshooting trainings. Please note: Troubleshooter positions require an electrical education.
What You Bring
- You have at least a high school education with a technical focus; electrical training is required, and education in hydraulics or mechanics is a plus.
- You bring experience in wind power, electricity, mechanics, or hydraulics, and hold a valid driving license.
- You communicate fluently in English and have strong computer skills.
- You are proactive, customer-focused, meticulous, and comfortable working at heights.
- You challenge yourself and your colleagues, thrive in diverse cultural contexts, and always prioritize safety and results.
- If you are interested in becoming a troubleshooter, you have an electrical background and are eager to complete our internal troubleshooting training program.
