A Snapshot of Your Day
We are seeking an experienced Vibration & Noise Analysis specialist Engineer to join the Mechanical structural Engineering Team focused on the development of Direct Drive Generators. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural dynamics, vibration, and vibro-acoustic analysis of generator components and systems, ensuring structural integrity, reliability, and performance through advanced simulation, testing, measurement and data analysis techniques.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform structural and vibration analysis of generator components and assemblies to evaluate structural integrity and dynamic performance.
- Execute and interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including Static Structural Analysis, Modal Analysis, Harmonic Response Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, Nonlinear Analysis, Buckling Analysis, Fatigue Analysis
- Lead the development, validation, and continuous improvement of simulation methodologies tools, and best practices for vibro-acoustic analysis, structural vibration, and vibration fatigue, ensuring accurate correlation with physical testing and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct vibro-acoustic and structural dynamics studies using analytical and simulation-based approaches.
- Perform signal processing and vibration diagnostics using techniques such as Power Spectral Density (PSD) Analysis, Wavelet Analysis, Frequency Domain Analysis
- Plan and execute experimental validation programs, including Experimental Modal Analysis (EMA), Harmonic Testing, Operational Deflection Shape (ODS) Analysis, Transfer Path Analysis (TPA), Correlation of test and simulation results
- Conduct root cause investigations and support failure analysis activities for vibration-related issues.
- Perform analytical/FEA calculations for bolted and welded joint designs and assess structural reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to optimize designs and resolve technical challenges.
- Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and project updates effectively to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
What you Bring
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in vibration analysis, structural dynamics, and vibro-acoustics (Less Experienced people need not to apply).
- Strong understanding and experience in, Structural Dynamics, Vibro-Acoustics, Resonance and Modal Behavior, HCF (High Cycle Fatigue) and LCF (Low Cycle Fatigue), Fracture Mechanics
- Experience with static, nonlinear, buckling, bolted and welded joints, fatigue analyses.
- Hands-on experience with vibration testing, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and test procedures.
- Proven experience in interpreting simulation and test data using advanced signal processing techniques.
- Strong expertise in ANSYS Workbench/APDL for structural and dynamic simulations.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python.
- Experience in root cause analysis and failure investigations.
- Familiarity with CAD software and engineering design processes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- An outgoing person with good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Process oriented and structured, attention to details, handle complex projects.
- Work with ease in cross cultural environment.

Generator analysis team is highly enthusiast team of specialist in structural, thermal, data analysts. This team mainly focus on structural and thermal integrity of the direct drive offshore generator and associated auxiliary systems and component designs. This team provides thermal and structural solutions, analyse results, support in testing of the generator, data analysis of the prototype wind turbine and generator performance test.
