A Snapshot of Your Day

As VAT Accountant in our TaxIntelligence team you take an active role in digitizing and enhancing our reporting and processes inside Function Taxes. You will be involved in discussions with our Business about actual and new business models and its VAT treatment. You will have a role as coordinator for running and new digitalization projects where a good understanding of European VAT law is essential.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• ·         Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of VAT related data.
• ·         Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
• ·         Monitor and improve data quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• ·         Collaborate with IT and tax professionals to manage data flows and data integration.
• ·         Support for SAP S/4 Tax requirement implementation (review a list of testing scenarios, request new data elements to be added to the testing scenario, propose scope extension of test scenarios, analyze the background of the selected scenarios, review the system set-up and the end tax result, status tracking of the tests, feedback/clarifications to the local Tax Teams).
• ·         Support within digital projects.

What You Bring

• ·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Tax. Advanced degrees and certifications in Accounting and/or Tax are a plus.
• ·         3-5 years of experience in VAT accounting or a related role, with a background in a tax or finance environment.
• ·         Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• ·         Very good knowledge of (VAT) accounting, regulations, compliance requirements and best practices.
• ·         Proficiency in SAP FI, CO etc.
• ·         Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a detail-oriented approach and a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
• ·         Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and an excellent command of English
