How to contribute to our vision

This position for a Test Specialist is a new addition to the Finalization team within the Nacelles Production unit at the Taichung plant, requested to ensure business continuity. As a Specialist Para-Professional (S4), this role is crucial for maintaining operational stability and quality in the electromechanical assembly workflow. To support this objective, the role is structured around three core areas: hands-on Electromechanical Assembly & System Integration, rigorous Quality Control & Testing to validate product functionality, and Operational Support & Mentorship. This structure ensures the specialist not only performs complex assembly tasks but also upholds quality standards and contributes to team development and process efficiency. Given the focus on advanced assembly and quality assurance, the ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in electromechanical fabrication, including soldering and interpreting technical diagrams. The role requires the ability to work with limited supervision on non-routine issues and the capacity to train junior staff, reflecting the advanced responsibilities of an S4-level specialist.

What You Need To Make a Difference

  • 50% Electromechanical Assembly & System Integration
    • Assemble complex electromechanical systems by integrating electronic components with mechanical parts according to assembly drawings and specifications.
    • Fabricate, route, and install complex cable assemblies, including shielded and coaxial types, using various hand and power tools.
    • Perform precision tasks such as soldering, through-hole and surface mounting of electronic components onto printed circuit boards.
    • Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment and tooling required for assembly processes.
  • 30% Quality Control & Testing
    • Conduct functional tests on finished assemblies using designated test equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Inspect and verify the quality of wiring, soldering, and overall assembly against technical diagrams and good manufacturing practices.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve non-routine electrical and mechanical faults in assemblies and systems.
    • Accurately document test results, inspection data, and any rework performed in the quality management system.
  • 20% Operational Support & Mentorship
    • Train, delegate, and review the work of lower-level assembly technicians to ensure adherence to standards.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to all company safety standards and protocols.
    • Provide technical support during daily operations, working with limited supervision to address production challenges.

Education

  • Vocational degree, technical certification, or equivalent in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Requires extensive work experience in electromechanical assembly or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision and solve difficult, non-routine technical problems.
