A Snapshot of Your Day
Do you enjoy supporting operational teams by ensuring that critical materials are sourced and available exactly when needed? Join us as a Supply Chain Specialist in our global spare parts team, where you will play a vital role in the procurement and coordination of spare parts for Siemens Energy gas and steam turbines, as well as generators. In this dynamic position, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team within the Global Operational Management (GOM) of the Gas Service Organization. You’ll work closely with colleagues in Berlin, Muelheim, and Bucharest, supporting both the sourcing of new parts and the coordination of repair activities at our service facilities. Your contribution ensures that spare parts are available on time and in the right condition—helping our project teams meet customer requirements with precision and reliability.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage the return of used major gas turbine components effectively.
- Support the procurement of both new and used spare parts.
- Clarify unutilized project and customer stocks to optimize resources.
- Ensure delivery capability and reliability to meet operational needs.
- Assist in coordinating with MRP Controllers and Inventory Managers for timely material delivery.
- Support the return process and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with internal customers, such as sales and project management, to address commercial or technical inquiries regarding major components.
What You Bring
- You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience in power plants and spare parts is a plus.
- You possess advanced skills in MS Office365 applications and have some experience in data exploration and SAP.
- Excellent teamwork and effective communication skills enable you to thrive in a multicultural and cross-regional environment, while you also enjoy working independently.
- You speak English at an advanced level; proficiency in German is a plus.
- You are familiar with concepts like empowerment and self-driven agile teams.
- You work in an organized manner and are proactive in asking questions and sharing your ideas.
