A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will conduct supplier qualifications and development for Machined Parts. Focus on Gas Turbine Core Engine parts with high technical and quality level. You will be working and networking in a multi-cultural environment with different departments locally and globally.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Supplier qualification with a multi-functional team, including assessment of capabilities and risk of suppliers. Primary focus on supplier of Gas Turbine Machined Parts, Cold Blades & Vanes and Fasteners.
  • Lead multi-functional teams to perform Product and Process Qualifications (PPQ) according to applicable process descriptions and standards. Support the suppliers to follow Siemens Energy Quality Management Process and usage of related tools.
  • Monitoring of supplier quality performance. Planning and execution of regular supplier audits
  • Initiate and implement supplier quality improvement programs, quality root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate risk mitigation measurements at the supplier. Track implementation and effectiveness of measures. Monitoring of corrective and preventive actions of the suppliers
  • Early supplier involvement supporting the global supplier quality team in the product development process.
  • Proactive collaboration with a distributed team and internal customers

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or equivalent in an engineering/technical field, master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in production methods of machined parts, cold blades & vanes and/or fasteners.
  • At least 10+ years of relevant professional experience in quality management, engineering, manufacturing, or purchasing and experience in the qualification of suppliers.
  • Profound knowledge in the application of quality methods such as 5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA
  • Knowledge of ISO & ASME Standards
  • Proficient usage of MS Office applications as well as SAP Materials Management and Quality Management
