A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Senior Project Manager at our new Transformers Repair Center in Charlotte, NC, you will lead end-to-end project execution of power transformer repairs taking place within our state-of-the-art repair shop. From initial order intake to successful delivery, you will oversee technical evaluation, schedule adherence, cost control, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficient project management processes while supporting the ramp-up of this new facility.
You’ll be one of the key drivers ensuring our transformer repair projects exceed expectations and set new benchmarks for excellence in the service industry.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead full lifecycle project management of power transformer repairs, from offer phase through shop execution to delivery and customer closeout.
- Ensure alignment between engineering, shop floor, procurement, and logistics to meet technical and timeline expectations.
- Act as the primary customer contact, delivering regular updates and ensuring clear communication on technical, commercial, and logistical matters.
- Coordinate detailed technical assessments of transformers prior to and during the repair process.
- Drive adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards while continuously identifying areas for improvement.
- Work closely with sales, offer specialists, engineers, operations managers, and finance teams.
- Develop and refine project execution methodologies, templates, and tracking tools to ensure consistency and operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance to project managers and support a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in Project Management, ideally within project execution, field service, repair or manufacturing. Power transformers industry experience is a plus. IPMA or PMP certification is preferred.
- Proven experience managing high-value, complex and industrial service projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), with strong customer focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, solve problems under pressure, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience using project tracking software and ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
- Currently based or willingness to relocate to Charlotte, NC.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
