A Snapshot of Your Day
In your daily work, you will collect and analyze diagnostic data from Omnivise T3000, the distributed control system installed across our global fleet of power plants. You will be responsible for technical activities related to the automatic collection, transmission, and evaluation of I&C data.Through your expertise, Siemens Energy customers and specialists will be able to access accurate diagnostic information and implement timely corrective measures, helping to prevent operational risks.
As an expert in remote I&C monitoring, you will be directly contributing to Siemens Energy’s strategic mission - keeping critical infrastructure safe and reliable, while minimizing environmental impact. You will interact daily with customers worldwide, gaining exposure to diverse cultures and perspectives. You will be part of an international team based in Germany, Hungary, and Malaysia, where collaboration, mutual respect, and shared commitment to common goals define our way of working.
How You’ll Make an Impact
· Manage the remote installation of Data Agent, a Siemens Energy software tool that collects data from Omnivise T3000 units, enabling the implementation of I&C Monitors and Advisors (ICMA) services.
· Support Siemens Energy’s remote monitoring platform, which analyzes operational status of Omnivise T3000 units through automated data collection and upload to an AWS cloud. Data then is processed and visualized via diagnostic dashboards in the Siemens Energy Customer Portal.
· Execute ICMA System Check service on Omnivise T3000 units, produce dashboards and reports that outline the current diagnostic status of control system components, and enable reactive maintenance measures when needed.
· Ensure remote I&C data acquisition and subsequent analytics phase for a growing fleet of over 400 power plants worldwide.
· Act as the primary customer contact for ICMA System Check services globally.
· Contribute to making energy systems more resilient and reliable.
What You Bring
- Strong technical background, ideally (but not necessarily) with a completed university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- Solid technical skills in IT system administration, network topology, and scripting.
- Interest in working with power plant computer architectures, including servers, clients, and network devices such as firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Solution-oriented mindset and proactive approach.
- Strong communication, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to connect with customers worldwide, demonstrating intercultural sensitivity and adaptability to meet diverse needs.
- A team-player attitude, working in synergy with colleagues to ensure responsive service delivery and high-quality standards.
- Willingness to travel abroad (e.g., to Germany) for training purposes.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
