We are seeking a reliable and motivated Senior Operational Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily operations, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of Purchasing.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Gather and consolidate Purchasing Requirements from project teams (including resources, software, hardware, etc.)
  • Prepare Purchase Requisitions (PR’s) using the purchasing tool (SAP ARIBA)
  • Ensure all Purchase Orders (POs) are issued to vendors in a timely manner, consulting with the processing team as needed
  • Consult with suppliers regarding ongoing Purchase Orders when required
  • Act as the primary contact for Suppliers
  • Handle first-level resolution of purchasing-related issues
  • Support new Supplier strategy and participate in Supplier evaluation processes
  • Monitor and achieve SLA and KPI performance targets
  • Maintain and improve internal Customer satisfaction levels
  • Ensure accurate checking and timely clearance of invoices for payment (KOFAX)
  • Report on Purchase Order status and Purchase Values
  • Collaborate closely and hold regular meetings with Commodity Managers from the Central Procurement team, Project Management and the Financial Controller

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Economics, or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing
  • Fluent English (German is a plus)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Experienced in ERP systems, with a strong focus on SAP
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities
  • Solution-oriented mindset
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Capable of working independently
  • Results-driven, demonstrating persistence and determination

Our Gas Services division is dedicated to providing low-emission power generation through innovative services and decarbonization efforts. We focus on zero or low-emission power generation, encompassing all gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators under one roof.
