关于职务
Senior Health and Safety Manager – UK wide travel
A snapshot of your day
Your day starts by connecting with your Health & Safety leadership team, aligning priorities across a portfolio of complex UK transmission and substation projects. You move seamlessly between strategic oversight and hands-on support—reviewing project risks, advising senior leaders, and acting as the escalation point for Health & Safety matters where clarity and confidence are needed most.
Whether engaging with clients, contractors or JV partners, you ensure expectations are clear and issues are closed effectively. You spend time reviewing audit findings, incident investigations and performance data, using insights to drive continual improvement and strengthen the Zero Harm culture across the business.
With regular travel to sites and time in the Newcastle office occasionally, you remain visible and connected, coaching teams, sharing best practice and ensuring Health & Safety is fully embedded in how Siemens Energy delivers its projects—safely, compliantly and with integrity.
How you’ll make an impact
- Drive continuous improvement in Health & Safety performance across large, highly regulated infrastructure projects.
- Ensure full compliance with legal, client and Siemens Energy internal requirements, including CDM and Zero Harm standards.
- Strengthen H&S culture by encouraging workforce engagement, consultation and proactive reporting at all levels.
- Deliver successful internal and external audits, safeguarding Siemens Energy’s reputation and client confidence.
- Influence senior leaders and project teams to embed H&S into decision-making, planning and delivery.
- Develop and implement H&S initiatives, performance targets, KPIs and metrics to demonstrate leading and lagging indicators.
- Promote best practice, share lessons learned and contribute to the wider Siemens Energy H&S community.
- Enable safer project delivery through effective supplier selection, monitoring and collaboration.
What you’ll bring
- Extensive senior-level Health & Safety leadership experience (typically 10+ years) within construction and substation environments.
- Strong credentials such as a relevant degree or NEBOSH Diploma, with auditing and incident investigation expertise.
- Proven experience working in matrix organisations on major infrastructure projects within highly regulated industries.
- The ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams across wide geographical areas.
- Confidence working with senior internal and external stakeholders to drive change and improve performance.
- Deep understanding of CDM, audit management, incident investigation and H&S system development.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a track record of delivering change and continuous improvement.
- Leadership aligned to Siemens Energy values: caring, agile, respectful and accountable, with a strong personal commitment to safety and integrity.
