A Snapshot of Your Day
Join our dynamic Operational Procurement team and play a crucial role in supporting the Small Gas Turbines business unit! You will manage the procurement of essential goods and services, ensuring smooth manufacturing and operational activities. Imagine leading the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase requisition to order placement, while negotiating favourable terms with suppliers. You will also maintain strong supplier relationships and uphold data integrity, all while contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency. Your expertise will directly impact our operational success and drive our mission forward!
How You’ll Make an Impact
- You will manage the end-to-end procurement process for direct materials, ensuring timely order placement and delivery confirmation.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-effectiveness for operational requirements.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for a designated portfolio of suppliers, handling day-to-day interactions and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering and quality teams, to align procurement activities with business needs.
- Maintain accurate procurement records within the ERP system and support inventory control objectives by ensuring timely material availability.
What You Bring
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Have proven experience in an operational procurement or buyer role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Possess strong negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain principles.
- Proficient with ERP systems, particularly SAP, and have experience with procurement software.
- You are certified as a Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or have equivalent credentials.
About the Team
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
