As a Senior Application Engineer at Siemens Energy Iraq, you will be at the forefront of transforming high-voltage substations and power systems, working on meaningful projects that bridge technical solutions with sales opportunities. Your role will have a significant impact on the team, clients, and partners, driving Siemens Energy’s mission to enable a reliable, sustainable, and digital grid.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Provide technical support to the sales team and customers, ensuring solutions meet project standards and requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals, bids, and documentation for substation power system projects.
• Conduct market scanning to identify pipeline projects and extensions, contributing to business development.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend optimal solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, field service, and project management teams from tender to execution phase.
• Conduct site surveys and assess local contractors, ensuring successful project installation and commissioning.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering from a reputable university, with 7-10 years of experience in high-voltage substations and power systems.
• Proven experience working with Iraqi utilities, ministries, and EPC contractors, with deep knowledge of construction activities inside HV substations.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in execution and commissioning of HV substations.
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Arabic, with strong networking, negotiating, and influencing skills.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and project support, demonstrating flexibility in working across different locations in Iraq.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite, Microsoft Project, and Power-BI, with effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
