A Snapshot of Your Day

As the PLM Manager for the Orion and S4E programs, this role is a critical addition to the Technical Services team in Yixing, driving local digital transformation efforts. The position is responsible for leading the implementation and governance of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, ensuring seamless integration within our engineering and manufacturing environment and alignment with global corporate standards. The role's primary focus is on establishing robust PLM governance, optimizing processes, and fostering deep cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and IT. By managing the end-to-end PLM project lifecycle, this position will directly contribute to Siemens Energy's strategic digitalization goals, enhancing data consistency, system traceability, and overall operational efficiency across the product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in technical project management, specifically with PLM system deployments in a manufacturing context. Success in this role requires strong stakeholder management skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to independently navigate complex technical and organizational challenges to deliver results for key corporate initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact

50% PLM Project Management & Implementation

• Manage the local deployment of PLM systems and processes for the Orion and S4E programs, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.

• Develop detailed project plans, track progress against milestones, and provide regular status reports to leadership and key stakeholders.

• Coordinate with global program teams to ensure local implementation activities are aligned with corporate strategy and timelines.

• Identify and mitigate project risks related to PLM system deployment and data migration.

30% PLM Governance & Process Optimization

• Establish and enforce PLM governance policies and best practices within the Yixing facility to ensure data integrity and consistency.

• Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize product lifecycle workflows, from engineering design through manufacturing and service.

• Drive digital transformation by leveraging PLM capabilities to enhance data-driven decision-making and workflow automation.

• Manage change control processes for PLM system configurations and engineering data.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including process maps, training materials, and system guidelines.

20% Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as the primary liaison between engineering, manufacturing, IT, and quality departments for all PLM-related matters.

• Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure user adoption and proficiency with new PLM tools and processes.

• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project updates, changes, and impacts across all affected business functions.

• Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot system issues and support end-users.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on PLM system (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill) implementation and support.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial engineering environment is highly preferred.
