Join our dynamic Grid Technologies Sales team at Siemens Energy, where you will lead the MidAmerica Region in driving sales, account management, and business development. Imagine guiding a talented team of sales and account managers across Minnesota to Pennsylvania, all while managing Siemens Energy’s transmission and distribution business with key players like Investor-Owned Utilities and Independent Power Producers. You will engage in strategic planning and execution, ensuring your team excels in performance and customer satisfaction. Your leadership will not only shape the team’s success but also contribute to the broader mission of innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.

 

 

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • You will manage a high-performing team of sales professionals, providing direction and coaching to foster a culture of excellence.
  • You will implement corporate policies and sales strategies, aligning team efforts with short-term business objectives.
  • You will facilitate sales training and professional development, enhancing your team’s capabilities in solution selling and customer management.
  • You will cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and channel partners, ensuring long-term success.
  • You will lead complex customer negotiations and issue resolutions, acting as a senior point of contact for critical discussions.
  • You will develop and execute medium to long-term sales plans, analyzing market trends to identify growth opportunities.

 

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering or a related field with 8+ experience in technical sales, with a strong background in the energy or grid technology sector. Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level or vice versa.
  • You have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a complex B2B environment.
  • You possess existing relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, facilitating smoother operations and negotiations.
  • You demonstrate strong skills in sales and business development, negotiation, and strategic thinking, complemented by analytical abilities.
  • You are adept at building relationships and influencing stakeholders, ensuring customer success and satisfaction.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically with occasional international travel
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
