A Snapshot of Your Day
In your role as a Real Estate Accounting, Controlling and Reporting Senior Analyst you will join our growing Real Estate Finance Team in the core of Siemens Energy Real Estate. This role involves working closely with Country, Hub and Central FIN organizations. You will work in a team of domain experts, in which your tasks include , clarification of accounting issues, analysis of errors, initiation of any necessary corrections and involvement in process improvement activities or initiatives, if needed with support from the Fixed Assets Function Lead. You will take ownership of daily Real Estate accounting activities and month end closing task and ensure they are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP quality standards or any other relevant regulations and guidelines. You are expected to collaborate and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders such as regional accounting hubs, local business teams, and other partners within Siemens Energy’s global communities. Listen actively and continuously focused on stakeholder requests, managing complex and uncertain operational issues, while decisively moving forward in taking ownership of decisions, together with the Fixed Assets Real Estate coordinator or the Fixed Assets Function Lead. Also, to share best practices with all relevant stakeholders. With your open-mindedness and willingness to learn, by building your skills and capabilities within our organization, you will support the Real Estate accounting team with the tasks at hand, investing in your own career development by regularly seeking and giving honest feedback and embracing a curious mindset in learning and personal development.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Perform posting of transactions and post journals as necessary to accurately reflect the transactions of the business
- Manage and performs the periodic closing process; carry out operational control, quality, and procedures of the use of the General Ledger SE RE Hubs
- Perform standard financial reporting in accordance with guidelines & timetables, preparing monthly financial close and ensuring that the reporting requirements are fulfilled, also reviewing key account balances to ensure financial data is reliable and accurate.
- Team Leadership under the coordination of the Fixed Assets Function Lead, provide support to Country BA’s in local reports and maintain effective communication within department and extended SE RE organization.
- Identify and implement operational improvements
- Continuously updating the DTP (Desktop Procedure) documentation for existing processes and are involved in the creation of DTPs for new processes/variances. You will be contributing and engaging in standardizing and automating our workflows, Fixed Assets / Real Estate processes and our cross-functional processes throughout the company.
What You Bring
- Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance or similar.
- 3-5 years accounting work experience.
- Team or project lead experience, financial process optimization mentality; professional ethics, responsibility and problem-solving orientation
- Experience in Real Estate and/or financial processes and proficient in Financial Applications (SAP) and MS Excel & Office
- Fluent in English (required) & preferable other language
- Teammate with strong communication & interpersonal skills
